So I am going to celebrate the Holiday season -- a season for all, not just Christmas. I am going to celebrate the things I have to be thankful for. Each day I will pick something that makes my life a little better, or improved my world somehow. Sometimes, we have to look at the small things to see the light at the end of the tunnel of hope. -- At least, that's my story and I sticking to it...lol.
Today -- I will say thank you for Diane Candy Thompson. She came here six years ago to be near me. She had lost her sister, lost her health and was in desperate need of a safe place, a warm place to live her life. She was in a wheelchair, depressed from losing her beloved sister, Dawn, and one of the souls in danger of being lost to the system too cold to help.
She helped me more than I helped her, I think. My health improved. When my husband suffered many numerous health issues, she was there to bring me a smile. In helping her, I helped me. We have had adventures, some I could only have dreamt of before her coming. I couldn't ask for a better friend. I am just sorry Dawn isn't here to join in the fun.
I bless the night was I saw a chauffeur driven car parked outside my drive and a little white head in the back seat.
So, Candy, you are my December 1 blessing. Thank you, many times over.
